Snellman Petfood in Nässjö received the 2026 Nässjö Diversity Award

,

Snellman Petfood’s operations in Nässjö received the 2026 Nässjö Diversity Award on 7 May 2026. The award is presented to organizations that work long-term and concretely with diversity, inclusion, and professional development—and that create value for both employees and the local community. The award was presented by Sara Lindberg, Chair of Nässjö Municipal Council and Claes Johansson, CEO of Nässjö Näringsliv.

“Snellman Petfood has more than 50 years of experience manufacturing high-quality dog food and is well known for its Fodax brand, among others. A key cornerstone of an expanding company is recruiting the right staff. By embracing people’s diverse circumstances and backgrounds, Snellman Petfood views diversity as a strength, which is a central part of its talent maintenance and contributes to a workplace culture characterized by respect and tolerance. Snellman Petfood has created a workplace where diversity and inclusion are key values and therefore deserves the 2026 Diversity Award,” said Claes Johansson, CEO, Nässjö Näringsliv.

At Snellman Petfood, as throughout the Snellman Group, diversity and expertise are viewed as closely intertwined. Our products are created through shared knowledge and collaboration between production, quality, product development, logistics, and leadership.

Training and continuous professional development are a natural part of our way of working. Through structured onboarding, learning on the job, and the opportunity to grow in one’s role, we ensure high quality, pet food safety, and continuous improvement. The Diversity Award is therefore not only proof of a positive work environment, but also of how expertise is built together and how this ultimately benefits dogs and dog owners through better and more thoughtfully designed products.

“For us in Nässjö, this is a much-appreciated recognition of how we build our business every day,” says Emil Ekman, Operations Manager, Snellman Petfood.

The award ceremony took place at Snellman Petfood’s facility in Nässjö. The ceremony was attended by municipal officials and Nässjö Näringsliv’s representatives as well as Snellman Group’s management team, which was visiting Nässjö.

“We view this award as both a source of pride and an inspiration to continue developing the Nässjö unit as a workplace where commitment, expertise, and collaboration are central,” comments Magnus Pettersson, CEO, Snellman Petfood.

This is the sixth time the Nässjö Diversity Award has been presented in collaboration between the Municipality of Nässjö and Nässjö Näringsliv AB. Previous recipients include Industrilås, Nevotex, Quality Powder Coating, JYSK, and Nömmebergs vårdhem/Sydsvenska hälsogruppen.
