The rapidly growing Snellman Petfood will become a separate company in Finland as of 1 May 2026, when it separates from Snellmanin Lihanjalostus Oy through a partial demerger. The company will be named Snellman Petfood Oy and will be headquartered in Pedersöre, Finland. Magnus Pettersson, who currently heads the Snellman Petfood business unit, will be the CEO of the company. Employees of the Petfood business unit will transfer to Snellman Petfood Oy as existing employees. Snellman Petfood Oy is a wholly owned subsidiary of Oy Snellman Ab.
Snellman Petfood Oy’s business ID is 3580283-9. Customers have been informed of the change, and it will not affect customer relationships. Existing contracts will be transferred to Snellman Petfood Oy.
On 1 May 2026, Benyfit Natural Limited will also become a wholly owned subsidiary of Snellman Petfood Oy, as will our Norwegian pet food company Snellman Norge A/S, which will be renamed Snellman Petfood A/S.
A similar change in Sweden this autumn
A similar change will take place in the Swedish operations of our pet food business during autumn 2026. Snellman Petfood Oy will then acquire the Swedish operations of our Petfood business unit from Snellman Sverige AB. Through this business transaction, the Swedish pet food operations will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Snellman Petfood Oy and will be named Snellman Petfood AB. Employees of the Swedish operations of Petfood business unit will transfer to Snellman Petfood AB as existing employees.
Customers of our Petfood business unit in Sweden will be notified separately of this change prior to its implementation.
Until now, Snellman’s pet food business has legally been part of Snellmanin Lihanjalostus Oy in Finland and Snellman Sverige AB in Sweden.

With Snellman Petfood becoming an independent company, the email domain for business unit’s employees has been changed to @snellmanpetfood.com.
