Oy Snellman Ab awarded – The Youth-Friendly Company of the Year
At the Gala organised by the Jakobstad Youth Council on Friday, 9 October, various organisations and individuals who actively work to ensure that young people enjoy living in Jakobstad and feel well were recognised. Awards were presented in a total of eight categories to individuals and organisations nominated by local residents through Jeppis Gallup.
Oy Snellman Ab received the Youth-Friendly Company of the Year award.
– We are truly happy and proud of this recognition! Young people are the future, and we want to do our part in building a Jakobstad where young people have good opportunities to grow, develop and find their place in working life, says Markus Hellström, CEO of the Snellman Group.
Last summer, the Group employed approximately 400 summer workers, of whom around 350 worked at our sites in Jakobstad and around 50 in Kerava.
In addition, we offered several young people the opportunity to gain an introduction to working life through a two-week Get to Know Working Life and Earn work experience programme.
This award recognises all of us who, through our work and attitude, help create a positive image of working life and the Snellman Group as an employer among young people.
